On 11 March 202, St Mary’s school received a formal inspection under the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS). I am delighted to announce that that St Mary’s has been awarded the highest possible grade of ‘Excellent’ with an additional judgement of ‘Excellent’ for Collective Worship.
This is a significant achievement in the life of our school.
There are many outstanding key messages included in the report:
‘St Mary’s is a school that inspires everyone who walks through their doors.’
‘Leaders have created a sanctuary of high expectations for all that is centred on its Christian vision.’
‘Staff capitalise on their knowledge of each and every child so that they flourish in every way.’
The report is an amazing recognition of the school’s many strengths. I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the exceptional leadership of Mrs Brannan in RE and Collective Worship and the dedication of my outstanding colleagues who, together, have enabled our school’s Christian vision to drive our school forward.
